Not standing back, not taking it in from a distance, but right in amongst the boulders. This is what it feels like to have a place in your bones. To have visited so many times that your hand knows the shapes before your eyes do. The brushwork is loose and energetic – yellows and purples and burnt oranges layered like the light itself is moving across the surface.
