Wendy Binks is Hiring

About stunned Emu Designs

Stunned Emu Designs is a small, established Australian art business with many moving parts. The business spans creation, design, manufacture, wholesale, retail and publishing, producing a wide range of giftware, books, art, tourism products and custom items featuring Wendy Binks’ well-known quirky Australian wildlife designs.

The business includes a long-running retail store at Fremantle Markets and a strong wholesale arm supplying customers Australia wide. Operations are managed from the showroom and warehouse in O’Connor, which is a small, friendly and hands-on workplace.

The wholesale side of the business continues to grow and is a key focus.

We are looking for a Studio Assistant. It’s a hands-on role based at our warehouse in O’Connor, where products are stored, assembled, packaged and distributed. The position has manual handling requirements and the majority of the day is spent on your feet.

The role is primarily focused on order fulfilment, while also supporting the business owner and marketing manager with day-to-day operations. It suits someone who understands how a small business runs, enjoys responsibility, and can work independently once trained. Working arrangements can be flexible, it’s a minimum of 16 hours per week and could be more depending on the season.

Casual hourly rate: $35 – $40 per hour depending on experience.
