The background of this painting was done for custom sunglass cases for Lake Argyle Resort, and I added the Jabiru later so I could add the image to my 2026 calendar. I have spent much time on or around Lake Argyle, and it is one of my favourite places. It hosts over one third of Australia’s bird species, and the changing colours at sunset are unforgettable.
