When I wrote my first book, ‘Where’s Stripey?’ I knew I wanted this popular image as part of the book, (as well as my twisted emus), so I kind of wrote a story that would include it. Not recommended when trying to create an award winning and long living children’s book!!! It seems to have worked however, as ‘Where’s Stripey?’ won the Premiers award for Children’s books in 2005, is 21 years old in 2026, and to date I have sold about 160 000 copies.
