She's bent right down between her own legs, fixing the assembled chicks with a look of pure suspicious intensity, while the little ones stare back with the wide-eyed innocence of creatures who definitely know something. The striped chicks are painted with irresistible charm – fluffy, round, and trying very hard to look like they've been there the whole time. The blazing outback sky behind them makes the whole scene feel like the world's most dramatic headcount.
Reproduced from Wendy's original hand-painted artwork and designed and made in Western Australia, this one's for the parents, the teachers, the anyone-who-has-ever-been-responsible-for-a-group-of-small-creatures – and lived to tell the tale.
