Jabiru – Original

There's something almost meditative about a Jabiru. Still. Watchful. Completely at home in a place most of us only dream of visiting.

Wendy has captured Australia's only stork mid-stride through a northern billabong – purple water lilies opening around its rust-red legs, the wetlands shimmering in that particular blue that only exists up north. Behind it, ancient red escarpments glow against a pale morning sky. It's the kind of scene that makes you breathe slower just looking at it.
